The top is glued up from 2 inch oak strips, flattened by hand and finished with hardwax oil so it can be repaired in place rather than refinished in a shop. The frame is 2 inch square tube with a 1/4 inch plate cleat, welded on a jig and checked for square before it leaves the bench.
We build this table up to 120 inches with no centre leg. That comes from the frame section, not from a hidden steel beam, which is why the underside still looks like something you would not mind seeing.
Standard lengths are 72, 84 and 96 inches. Other lengths, widths and heights are normal work — tell us the room and we will draw it at size.
The seat is a solid oak blank, shaped and sanded by hand, with a slight dish so it stays comfortable without a cushion. The frame is 1 inch tube, fully welded and ground, with a 1/2 inch solid bar footrest welded through the legs rather than tacked onto the outside.
Built at 26 inches for standard counters. Bar height is 30 inches. Both are stocked sizes, so a set of four ships in about four weeks rather than eight.
Built to sit under the Cuyahoga table without crowding it. The frame is fully welded rather than bolted, so it will not rack when four people sit down at once — which is the failure mode of most benches.
Oak, walnut or reclaimed pine. Lengths from 48 to 96 inches.
The same frame as the Seminole stool, built at bar height and finished in powder coat — the right call for a kitchen or a covered patio where blackened steel would keep you touching up the finish.
Standard colours are satin black, warm grey and bone. Bring us a sample and we will match it.
Sized for a 12 inch record and a hardback book with room to spare. The steel frame is welded as one piece and fixed to the wall through plate feet, so it does not lean and does not need to be built in.
Shown here at 84 inches tall with five shelves. We build it to the height of your wall and to whatever the shelf spacing needs to be.
Built for Florida. The base is powder coated rather than blackened, every fixing is stainless, and the frame is drilled to drain so water does not sit inside the tube. The oak is oiled with an exterior finish that you re-coat once a year.
Designed for a covered porch or lanai. In full sun and direct rain we would use a different timber — ask us and we will tell you honestly which one.
